Bun ban in thE marshall fire district
Due to the dry conditions and gusty winds forecasted, the Marshall Fire Department is enforcing a burn ban starting Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10am and lasting through Monday, May 3, 2021 at 6am.
For your safety and ours, we ask that you refrain from buring camp fires or burn barrels during this time. Grilling for cooking purposes is allowed.

BURN BAN in the Marshall Fire District - extended

BURN BAN in the Marshall Fire District
Starting March 30, 2021 at Noon to April 2, 2021 at Noon there will be no burning in the Marshall Fire District. This burn ban may likely continue until April 5, 2021 at 6:00pm. We will notify everyone if it does get extended.

From the Wis DNR website, Dane County and all of Southern Wisconsin is at HIGH RISK Fire Danger. We ask that you refrain from any burning until further notice.
Recreational camp fires and grilling are allowed. We ask that you don't burn any brush piles, leaf piles, grass land/ditches.
Please adhere to our request to keep yourself, neighbors and our firefighters safe. Thank you!

CANCELED EVENTS
Due to the Covid Pandemic, the Marshall Volunteer Fire Department has decided to cancel the Marshall Fireman's Picnic and the Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser this year. Hopefully there will be an end to this and we can get back to normal next year.

BURNING RESTRICTIONS: Governor Evers has issued a State of Emergency effective thru May 15,2020.
HOWEVER: Fire Chief Blair Pierce is going to allow farmers that need to burn brush piles that are in a tillable field to do so ONLY on Saturday May 2nd, Sunday May 3rd and Saturday May 9th, Sunday May 10th from 10:00am - 5:00pm. Before any burning can happen you will need to call Fire Chief Blair Pierce- 608-228-4674 or

LOVE LIGHT TREE
On behalf of the Marshall Fire Department, I would like to thank everyone that attended the 3rd Annual Love Light Tree Ceremony. This is an annual event to remember and or to honor someone in our lives that has meant something special to us. The proceeds of the Love Light Tree will be going to the Marshall Fire Department for the purchase of fire equipment and other life saving material, and we will be making a monetary donation to the Marshall/Waterloo food pantry.
First of all, I would like to thank the entire Laufenberg family for the donation of the tree, the lights, and the star, Auburn Ridge and Matt Stuntebeck for the use of the boom truck for delivery and setting of the tree, Jesse and Zach James for the scaffolding and assisting with the lights. Tom’s Guns, F&M Bank in Marshall and the Marshall Library for helping us sell the forms. Without these people this event would never have happened.
